Current project #1:
I am Clydebuilt, with some components and modifications assembled elsewhere.
I was born in Robroyston Hospital, a TB isolation hospital with a maternity unit. My mother was lucky to survive TB. I am lucky to be here.
I was, at birth, 75 to 80% Glasgow water, which I will be replenishing later on. We get less watery with age. Most of you will be more watery than me.
Where does this water come from, and where does it go?
This project, begun as a short film about Ruskin and Glen Finglas, became a video performance at Market Gallery Glasgow, in honour of its 10th anniversary. It is now growing into an essay film about growth, pollution, cleanliness and whether the perfect is the enemy of the good.
